Brian Hamilton

Co-founder of Sudoku Online Puzzles, web developer, and lifelong puzzle and strategy-game player.

About Brian

Brian Hamilton is a co-founder of Sudoku Online Puzzles. He has an internet engineering degree and has worked as a developer for 30 years, with much of that experience feeding into web-based games, puzzle tools, and interactive logic projects.

Brian enjoys puzzles, strategy games, card games, and brain-training challenges: anything with a clear set of rules and a satisfying problem to untangle. On Sudoku Online Puzzles, his role is mainly the technical side: building the boards, tools, generators, solvers, and page features that make the site work on modern devices.

Puzzle and Game Background

Brian has worked with Karan Hamilton on several puzzle and game projects, including Sudoku for Kids, Aces Up Solitaire, Word Search Online, Puzzling Fun, Glorified Calculator, and Logic Puzzles Online.

He has also helped create mobile games including Cargo Shuffle, Bulls and Cows, and Liars Dice.

Why Sudoku Online Puzzles Matters

For Brian, the site is a way to bring classic paper puzzles into a format that feels natural on phones, tablets, and computers. As a grandparent, he also wants younger players to discover the kind of logic games that used to live in puzzle books, on kitchen tables, and during quiet family moments.

His aim is to make puzzle pages that are simple to start, technically reliable, and useful beyond a single play. That means clear controls, fair puzzle logic, practical solving tools, and explanations that help players understand what is happening rather than simply giving them an answer.

On This Site

Brian works on the playable puzzle pages, solvers, generators, printable tools, and technical improvements across Sudoku Online Puzzles. He also contributes to guides and explanations where the technical behaviour of a puzzle or tool needs to be made clear for players.

Brian co-creates Sudoku Online Puzzles with Karan Hamilton. You can learn more about the site on the About page.
