About Karan
Karan Hamilton is a co-founder of Sudoku Online Puzzles. She is degree-level educated and helps with almost every part of the site except the coding, from puzzle ideas and player testing to page feedback, wording, and the overall feel of the games.
Karan's love of strategy games started with family game nights and classic board games such as Risk and Stratego. That early interest still shows in the way she thinks about puzzles: a good game should be easy to understand, interesting to return to, and satisfying when the solution finally clicks.
Puzzle and Game Background
Karan has worked with Brian Hamilton on several puzzle and game projects, including Sudoku for Kids, Aces Up Solitaire, Word Search Online, Puzzling Fun, Glorified Calculator, and Logic Puzzles Online.
She also helped with mobile games including Cargo Shuffle, Bulls and Cows, and Liars Dice.
Game Ideas and Player Experience
Karan enjoys designing new game ideas that borrow the best parts of old favourites and turn them into something fresh. Dedoku is one example: a mystery clue game crossed with Sudoku, built around deduction, logic, and the pleasure of narrowing down possibilities.
On Sudoku Online Puzzles, Karan brings the player's eye. She helps judge whether a page makes sense, whether a puzzle feels fair, whether instructions are clear, and whether a game is something a family would actually want to play together.
On This Site
Karan contributes to puzzle ideas, testing, article feedback, and the player-first shape of Sudoku Online Puzzles. Her role is especially important on pages for younger players, themed puzzles, printable activities, and any feature where clarity matters as much as the code behind it.
Karan co-creates Sudoku Online Puzzles with Brian Hamilton. You can learn more about the site on the About page.
